Southgate Church members Gary and Peggy Rosensteel began Bible translation and literacy work with the Ura-speaking Baining of Papua New Guinea in 1988. Their ministry which includes some community development work as well. They seve with Wycliffe Bible Translators.

Their daughter Lydia is a private music teacher here in St. Louis, and their son Aaron lives with the Schroeders and works at Friendship Village.
